A 64-year-old man presents with a three-month history of a rash on his legs. Apart from ulcerative colitis, he has no other known chronic diseases. Laboratory tests reveal a hemoglobin A1c level of 47, alkaline phosphatase (ALP) level of 138, and ferritin level of 466, with all other results within normal ranges.
